MBA Select not only showed me what it takes to play at the next level, it provided me with the training programs, camps and clinics that helped me raise my game to where I could compete at the next level.

MBA Select is the best program I have ever played for, but it would not have been the same without Coach Rod Creech. Whether we were practicing or playing a game, we were always required to go 110%. But, it was always fun. Coach Creech pushed me to be the best player I could be all the time. As long as you are not the type of player to give up, you and Coach Creech will get along. Overall, I loved the experience I have gained by playing in the MBA Select program.

Heatherly, Cavemen toe the line
HS BASKETBALL
By AL LESAR
Tribune Staff Writer
MISHAWAKA — Ten toes to the basket. Sounds simple, huh?
He certainly wasn't the fastest guy on the floor. At 6-foot-2 and a very slender-looking 180 pounds, Steven Heatherly wasn't the biggest or the strongest.
Then, what was his secret for scoring 27 points (9-of-11 shooting, seven 3-pointers) in the Mishawaka basketball team's 70-54 Northern Indiana Conference win over Marian Friday night?

Vann drives Panthers to win
HS BASKETBALL
By JAKE BROWN
Tribune Staff Writer
SOUTH BEND — Jourdan Vann spent the last part of his warmups Friday taking progressively longer 3-pointers with a hand in his face.
The guard for the Washington High boys basketball team buried most of them.
During Washington's ensuing 83-42 win over St. Joseph's at Alumni Gym, Vann took nine shots from distance and buried most of those, too.
